Prior Experience:

Mr. Magids is a native Houstonian, having graduated from Bellaire High School. He attended Tulane University where he obtained a B.A. in Economics. He received his law degree from the University of Houston in 1980.

Mr. Magids has an extensive real estate background, having been exposed to it at an early age from his father's real estate loan, mortgage and workout business. While attending law school, he also worked part-time in the abstract plant of a local Houston title company where he gained additional invaluable experience.

Today, he handles most aspects of real estate, representing both purchasers and sellers. He has handled numerous commercial, residential, urban and rural real estate transactions in his 25 years of practicing law. Mr. Magids has also represented hundreds of commercial and individual lenders over the years. He has handled the collection of delinquent or defaulted loans, foreclosure and eviction proceedings, as well as bankruptcy proceedings.

In addition to his extensive real estate practice, Mr. Magids is also very active in the practice of oil and gas, probate, trusts, wills and estate planning, collections, business and commercial law. He has also practiced bankruptcy law for over 23 years with an emphasis on the creditor side.
